With every day that passes Declan Rice mugs off Vexed again and again and again.

Nah, he won't even be close to being as good as VVD. He's not even as good as Noble for fucks sake.

Virgil van Dijk is 28.

If Rice keeps progressing at his current rate, he’ll be as good or better than VVD.

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
No club has actually said they are thinking of paying 90 million for him.
Some ex player said he could see Man United paying around 90 mill for him and every news outlet jumped on the bandwagon with "Man Utd to offer 90 million for Rice" headlines.

If they did then I don't think Declan would be interested in moving to them. Man City and Liverpool maybe but not them.

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
I'd rather see us buy a good midfielder and let him earn his place rather than keeping it by default as he is now. Then I'd worry about keeping him.
You lot are currently worrying about potential which is not guaranteed. I'd rather have actual talent in the side than potential talent. If he didn't come up through the ranks ( of fucking Chelsea mainly) then I think we'd have a lot fewer Rice related masturbators on here.
Relax, he's not going anywhere, nobody actually wants him yet for the above reasons. He could do with pulling his socks up and starting to do his job rather than poncing around in the press like a fucking twat as he is now.

The fact that Sold0 would sell him says all you fucking need to know

£85m Gareth Bale
£75m Virgil van Dyke

So yeah I'd bite ANYONE's hands off for £90m for nothing more than a Promising Defensive Midfielder

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
Need a big energetic midfielder (doucoure esque) to play alongside him and take some of the pressure off of him doing all the leg work.

Id be looking at investing on another top level centreback as im starting to doubt if Balbuena really is all that ( happy to be proven wrong this season if its the case)

Then would be looking at right back and maybe left back (masuaku's season dependant)

Other than that we have good 1st level talent and decent depth in all the positions further forward, would take another huge singular investment to improve our first 11

OK - to take this one off at a slight angle:

What players should be in the team this time next year to ensure that leaving West Ham doesn't even cross his mind?

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
substance to the argument is we have no one who can do his job as well as him, owners who can't be trusted to give the manager the fantasy £90m and the ability of the same owners to find a replacement who wants to play for us

Rossal 5:37 Fri Sep 13
Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
Yes its a matter of when not if he leaves....

People not rating him dont really have much substance to their argument.

20 years old commanding interest from the top clubs and forced his way to start for England tells you all you need to know

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
Will we have a choice? He's as good as gone by start of next season unless we have seriously upped our game by then.
Watched him 2nd half v Bulgaria and he looked class and my thoughts were that we won't be able to hang on to him for much longer.

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
Yes, I'm going to go against many of you as I don't see what you all see in Declan, he's good but to me doesn't stand out like other players do when you think "He's too good to be at[insert shit club name]" as an example, Le Tissier during his playing days at Southampton; it was clear for all to see he was too good for Southampton.

I wouldnt sell him, as the money will 100% not be reinvested in the team...

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
No.

Bar him throwing his toys out of the pram, keep him for at least another 2 - 3 years.

By then, he's worth at least 90 million - then possibly sell.

If he isn't, he's worth half that, meaning we still have an excellent player on our hands who will most probably be happy to stay, hopefully playing regular European football.

Anyone who suggests we should are fucking morons.

So you wouldn't flog him for £90mill?? Right ho... fucking hell we are going on like he is Franz fucking Beckenbauer.... he COULD be a very good player... a very good DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD player... yeah that's right... £90mill for a promising Defensive Midfielder... BITE THEIR HANDS OFF

Didn't we sell Rio for "silly money" when the bottom was absolutely and deliberately about to fall off the transfer market?

How did that go again?

Why cant we find the next Diop but in CDM? Young, promising and ability to grow. £40M we could find a young promising midfielder easily.
